Ceiling-C: An integrated part of your CCS

Ceiling-C is a ceiling-integrated UVC system designed for GMP-regulated cleanrooms. The system serves as an additional layer within a documented Contamination Control Strategy (CCS) and supports the risk-based approach to contamination control described in EU GMP Annex 1. By reducing the microbial burden on exposed surfaces between production activities, cleaning procedures, and other defined processes, Ceiling-C helps minimize the risk of contamination and supports stable, validated, and reproducible processes.

Designed for GMP environments

Ceiling-C has been developed for pharmaceutical and biotech cleanrooms, where contamination control is a key element of the overall Contamination Control Strategy (CCS). The system supports microbial contamination risk mitigation and complements existing cleaning, disinfection, and Environmental Monitoring programmes.

The solution is designed for permanent integration into standard ceiling systems and can be applied in cleanrooms ranging from CNC to Grade B, subject to appropriate risk assessment and qualification. The system can be integrated with existing control and safety systems as a permanent part of the cleanroom infrastructure.

The enclosed hygienic SS316 stainless steel construction is designed for controlled manufacturing environments, while the integrated reflector supports controlled UVC distribution across exposed surfaces. The unique design allows access to the lamp module from within the room, eliminating the need to breach the hygienic barrier during servicing.

Ceiling-C is designed for controlled treatment cycles in unoccupied areas and supports consistent and validated processes.

Advantages of Ceiling-C

  • Supports microbial contamination risk mitigation as part of a CCS
  • SS316 construction designed for controlled manufacturing environments
  • Flush ceiling integration supporting a uniform cleanroom design
  • Enclosed hygienic construction for GMP-regulated environments
  • Permanent installation as an integrated part of the cleanroom infrastructure
  • Installation and service access directly from the room side
  • Available with single- or double-lamp configurations depending on application and coverage requirements

Documentation & implementation

An effective contamination control solution requires more than technology alone. Natdis therefore provides support for risk assessments, dimensioning, and project documentation, which enables Ceiling-C to be implemented as a documented part of the site’s CCS.

The solution can be supported with relevant documentation, including risk assessments, traceability, and implementation within existing GMP processes and Environmental Monitoring programmes.
