Chemicalfree Disinfection

Disinfection is a critical component in securing our production and minimizing the risk of transferring unwanted microflora into high-care zones.

For many years chemical disinfection has been the industry standard. However, as awareness grows around environmental impact from chemicals, more companies start seeking sustainable alternatives. UVC is increasingly being considered as a disinfection method.

The effectiveness of UVC light as a disinfection method has been known for over 120 years. In 1903, Niels Ryberg Finsen documented its use as a disinfection method against tuberculosis. UVC disinfection is a thoroughly tested and well-established method for inactivating microorganisms.

UVC can reduce pathogen populations by 90%, 99%, 99.9% or even 99.99% Neither chemicals nor UVC can reduce pathogen populations by 100% Additionally, achieving higher levels of reduction requires significantly more energy. For example, increasing from a 90% to a 99% reduction demands approximately twice the amount of energy.

At Natdis, we have extensive experience across industries and are ready to help you define the right disinfection level for your specific environment.
