Reducing the risk of PRRS and ASF on surfaces
Surface biosecurity with CleanAccess-C Cargo. The UVC sluices are designed for large goods and are widely used to secure surfaces on incoming goods for many farms. The UVC sluices are dimensioned according to requirements and delivered for on-site modular construction.
The sluices are made with rapid doors and a combination of UVC light and “air flushing” with rotating nozzles, ensuring that loose particles are removed and filtered in the internal air system. The doors have interlock, and the size of the airlocks is adapted to the specific needs and requirements, e.g. 3 minutes of treatment of big bags in 360°.
The sluice with UVC and air is installed in a truck trailer between the dirty and clean zones at a large pig producer in Latvia.
UVC sluices for small items such as tools and personal effects
Bringing smaller items onto the farm is secured with CleanBox-C. UVC treatment provides 360° exposure of the product in a practical box that is delivered completely plug and play.
Use it for
- Marking spray, AI equipment and medicine
- Lunch boxes, tools, phones, etc.
Place it between the dirty and clean zones and connect it to power. In just a few minutes, surfaces on items such as phones, glasses, electronic equipment, tools, and other consumables can be disinfected.
CleanBox-C 800 placed in the entrance sluice of a large pig farm. The item is placed on the grate, the door is closed, and the box starts automatically. When tyhe treatment time has expired, the door on the clean side is released, allowing staff to open the door and remove the item.
Choose between CleanBox-C 600 and CleanBox-C 800, two standard sizes in the range, which are of course delivered with interlock between the doors so that only one door can be open at a time.

One of Denmark’s largest UV systems for incoming air
At Molsgaard, together with SKOV A/S, we have delivered a complete positive-pressure system in which all incoming air is treated with UVC. A total of 57 chimneys are fitted with UVC lights adapted to the air volumes drawn into the barns. The farm has a production of 1,100 breeding sows, Landrace and Duroc boars, as well as gilts. During installation of the UVC system, the previous air systems with wall inlets and diffuse ventilation were converted into controlled positive pressure. All air is drawn in above the roof ridge, thereby avoiding a large part of the contamination that comes via dust and dirt, for example through wall inlets.

Jørgen and Allan Gade Nielsen have online monitoring of the UVC systems, which run 24/7, ensuring they can sleep well at night even when infection pressure is high. At Molsgaard, a CleanBox-C has also been installed for treating incoming consumables such as tools and personal effects that need to enter the barn.

UVC light against slime and sludge
Avoid bacterial growth in the top of the wet-feed tank and in the water tank with a UV system. UVC light keeps bacterial growth under control, makes cleaning easier, and helps prevent lumps from falling into the feed soup, which can subsequently cause problems in the herd.
In water systems, UVC systems are easily installed directly into the water line and continuously keep the level of bacteria and viruses in the water down. By treating the water with UVC, stable water quality is supported, which can contribute to better water intake among the animals and thereby improve welfare.
