What is UVC LED technology?
UVC LED represents the next generation of UVC disinfection technology. Our UVC LED systems emit light at the absolute peak of 265 nm, where DNA absorption is at its maximum. This results in a very high inactivation rate of bacteria, viruses, and other microorganisms.
The technology is far more advanced than traditional LED types and places high demands on materials and precision. With LED technology, it is possible to develop compact and reliable solutions for demanding environments.
UVC LED offers a number of advantages:
- Instant on/off – no warm-up time
- Precise light field and reduced need for shielding
- Long lifetime and high operational reliability
- No use of mercury
- Controlled heat dissipation and managed cooling (rear-directed)
